Creepers - or brothel creeper had their years following the Second World War. They were worn by soldiers returning from the war in the desert of North Africa had worn suede boots with hard-wearing crepe soles. When most of these men left the army they wore these shoes on their way to the disreputable night spots of London in Kings Cross, now they are known as Brothel Creepers. They are certainly creeping back into fashion. Punk aesthetic and unusual colour combination they are being worn by teenagers (myself excluded) and adults everyday. Even though I do not own a pair, doesn't mean I don't dream of owning one.
I have seen many people wearing it casually with a pair of skinny jeans, but it can be also be worn with a high waisted skirt, nice smart blazer and a simple top. Just experiment with it and see what goes with it, that is the beauty of fashion.
