Floral Prints ♥

Another hot trend for spring is floral print accessories. The floral print is eye-catching, but not so bold that it’s overwhelming. They have an elegant, yet carefree vibe, making them perfectly chic Spring pumps. I cant wait to get my hands on a pair.

Kobi Levi ♥

I was browsing through the net and came across Kobi Levi who is a Istraeli designer. He created some of the unusual high heels which I never thought could be made. I know for fact that I appreciate his designs and admire them but I don't think I will be brave enough to wear them in public.

“In my artistic footwear design the shoe is my canvas. The trigger to create a new piece comes when an idea, a concept and/or an image comes to mind. The combination of the image and footwear creates a new hybrid and the design/concept comes to life. The piece is a wearable sculpture. It is “alive” with/out the foot/body. Most of the inspirations are out of the “shoe-world”, and give the footwear an extreme transformation. The result is usually humoristic with a unique point of view about footwear.” - Kobi Levi

Creepers?...Yes Please!♥

Creepers - or brothel creeper had their years following the Second World War. They were worn by soldiers returning from the war in the desert of North Africa had worn suede boots with hard-wearing crepe soles.  When most of these men left the army they wore these shoes on their way to the disreputable night spots of London in Kings Cross, now they are known as Brothel Creepers. They are certainly creeping back into fashion. Punk aesthetic and unusual colour combination they are being worn by teenagers (myself excluded)  and adults everyday. Even though I do not own a pair, doesn't mean I  don't dream of owning one.

I have seen many people wearing it casually with a pair of skinny jeans, but it can be also be worn with a high waisted skirt, nice smart blazer and a simple top. Just experiment with it and see what goes with it, that is the beauty of fashion.

Designer VS High Street Shoes♥

Everyone knows designer brands tend to be very pricey when you compare them to high street counter parts, but does designer always necessarily mean its better?.  I know people that have some designer shoes that they tend to wear them just occasionally when there is a big event but the shoes that they wear everyday tend to be from the high street. When I spend loads on a pair of shoes I usually like to keep it as fresh and new looking as possible, which results in me wearing it once or twice.

A designer heels will normally cost between £400-£500, but what do you gain from it?.  To me you are also paying for the brand name. I am not going to lie and say that high street brands are better than designer brands because most of the high street stores copy the designer and slightly tweak them and the materials used for them are far more better than a high street heel. This is why designer shoes are considered an investment as they will last the distance.

I buy heels from Primark and the most I have spent on them is £20 and because I am not a party person they tend to last for long. I am only a university student and definitely cannot afford to splash on a £500 on a pair designer heels. So for now I will just stick to high street shoes.
